Butterfly Splat

Hi there.  Busy long weekend and today I got back to crafting in My Crafting Closet to create a fun CAS card.

The splatter was inked with distress inks in rainbow colours, spritz with water, then stamped onto watercolor paper.  The butterfly was white heat embossed on vellum to minimize covering up the colourful splat.  It was die cut out with the matching die and popped up with foam adhesive.

The stripes was stamped on a white cardstock strip and adeed to the left-hand side.  The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black cardstock strip.

For something different and fun, crystal clear sequins were used to create the butterfly trail.

Thank you for dropping by.  Have a fun day!

  7. My kind of card, love th CAS. I really like these stripes, like on my Birthday card. I have quite a few striped stamps-do you just stamp it off the edge?

    1. Yes, Sandie, I stamped off the edge. The stamp itself is not a full bg stamp, which I like. Plus, it’s clear unlike most bg stamps which are rubber.

  8. great rainbow splat, looks awesome behind the butterfly. Great idea to use the velum so that you could still see the colours of the splat. Beautiful CAS card 🙂
