Toucan Send Hugs

Happy Wednesday everyone!.  A quick one today as I am sharing another fun CAS card.

On a white Stitched Rectangle, the toucan was stamped with black Memento ink, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the matching die.  The sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

Hugs was die cut 4x from white cardstock to be stacked for dimension.  It was Ombré coloured with Wilted Violet distress ink and a mini blending tool.  Squeezed Lemonade distress ink was used to shade the background.

Glossy accents on the toucan’s beak, clear glitter on the hugs diecut and a few glitter gumdrops were added to finish.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a great day!

Turtley Rock

Hi there.  I am sharing another super CAS turtley punny card today.  It seems I can’t get enough of these turtle puns.  😂

I stamped the turtles on a scrap of X-Press It paper three times, coloured them with Copics and then die cut them out with the matching die.

Next I used a leftover piece of Bristol smooth paper and blended Cracked Pistachio distress ink through a Concentric Circle stencil.  I used a Clarity stencil brush my friend Christine loaned me to try before buying. The verdict?  Love them and have ordered them already! 😏

Next I die cut that piece with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle.  I stamped the sentiment in black, then mounted it to a white top folding card base with foam adhesive.  I adhered the turtles, allowing a couple of them to hang off the edge.  To finish, I added clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle to their shells and a few metallic green sequins in the opposite corner to balance out the design. .

Birthday with Buddy

Hi there.  Just dropping in quickly to share a CAS birthday card.

I stamped the Buddy image on a white A2 X-Press It piece of paper with Memento black ink and coloured with Copic markers.  For some shimmer, I added clear glitter to the bow/ribbon on the present with my new Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.

Next I masked off the image and lightly sponged some Real Red ink for the background.  I removed majority of the ink off on a scrap piece of paper before applying to get a soft look.  The A2 piece was then die cut out with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle.  I lightly sponged the edge as well.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black fishtail banner.  The stitched piece was mounted to a white top folding card base and a few sparkling clear sequins were added to finish.

Love You

Hi there.  Today I am sharing a really CAS Mix Media card I made with my husband in mind.  He’s been feeling under the weather the last couple of days and I wanted to make a card to let him know I am here for him no matter how awful he looks, feels and looks.  Oops, did I say that twice? *lol* 😂  Actually, he looks the same to me.  Anyway, in keeping with my crafty resolution to use what I buy at least once, I used another two NBUS stamp sets for today’s card.

First, I die cut a Stitched Rectangle panel from white cardstock.  Then I created a mask with masking paper and the beautiful Heartstrings die.  Spun Sugar distress ink was blended through the mask to create the background.  I added Perfect Pearls to give it some shimmer.  It was difficult to capture it in a photo, but it is pretty IRL

I stamped the image with Versafine black ink several times using my MISTI to get a good solid impression, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black cardstock strip and mounted with foam adhesive. For more shimmer I added clear Wink of Stella to the strip.  The stitched panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and a few NBUS clear droplets were added to finish.

I actually created the monochromatic card first with Smoky Slate ink because I know my hubby is not a fan of pink or colours for that matter.  I thought the gray felt a little cold and a subtle colour would soften it up.  And I callied it… my hubby liked the gray and disliked the pink.

Silver Heartstrings

Hi everyone. With so many enabling sales this past holiday season, it’s no surprise that I have accumulated a lot of new goodies to play with. 😂😂🎉  This year, I resolute to use everything I buy at least once.  I started already with my New Year’s card posted on New Year’s Day where I used the Time Flies stamp set. Today I am using my new Heartstrings dies to create this super CAS card.

I first die cut the string heart twice to stack them for dimension.  I cut one from Silver Foil sheets and the other from a scrap of white cardstock.  I did the same for the little heart, except I die cut three from white cardstock for even more dimension.

I adhered the stacked hearts to an A2 size stitched rectangle white shimmer cardstock panel, offsetting it to the left.  The sentiment was heat embossed with silver glitter embossing powder on a strip of the same white shimmer cardstock.  For dimension again, I backed it on to a slightly larger strip of white shimmer cardstock and then mounted the whole strip with foam tape.

The panel was attached to a top folding white card base and a few clear sequins were added to finish.  With the shimmer cardstock, silver foil and silver glitter embossing, this card is shiny and sparkly IRL.

I didn’t want those silver foil diecut pieces from the heart to go to waste, so I created a second card with them.  I used the negative diecut piece as a guide to place the pieces in the correct position.  And with so many other great sentiments in the Many Everyday Messages stamp set, I decided to use a generic sentiment on this one.
