Hello there. Today I am sharing a card that I made for a friend who’s been having a rough time lately. Unfortunately, she hasn’t received this yet, and when she does, I hope it will brighten her day a little. And I’m proud to report that I made it with all NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff)! I couldn’t believe it – FOUR off my massive NBUS list!!! Thanks, Darnell, for running this great challenge. And here’s my card.
I wanted to make a pink hello card with the NBUS Polar Bear Pals stamp set that I just got a week ago. To start, a white A2 piece of cardstock was dry embossed with NBUS Softly Falling embossing folder. The bears were stamped on scraps of X-press It paper with Memento black ink, coloured wth RV and C gray Copic markers then fussy cut out. Friend from NBUS Thoughtful Messages (a gift from sweet Loll) was white heat embossed on a scrap of black cardstock. I wanted the left bear to hold it, so I cut around his arm and tucked it under.
The letters from NBUS Bold Alphabetwere die cut from more scraps of X-press it paper and also from black cardstock to be stacked. The white diecut letters were coloured with the same RV Copic markers as the scarves.
The embossed panel was mounted onto a white landscape top folding cardbase before the card was assembled. The bears were mounted with foam adhesive for dimension and clear shimmer was added for some sparkle to finish.
Happy Fri-yay, everyone. Just a quick fun CAS card to share today.
The frog and the sentiment were stamped with Memento black ink on a Zig Zag X-press It rectangle. The frog was coloured with Copics.
The frog was then masked with a die cut mask made with the matching die and Post It labelling tape. Love die cut masks because they’re quick and give a white border (as long as they are aligned correctly that is 😉). With a mini blending tool, More Mustard distress ink was blended around the masked frog, then Spiced Marmalade distress ink was blended through a Radiating Ray stencil.
The frog and sentiment were heat embossed with clear embossing powder for some shine and dimension. A few green glitter gumdrops finished off the card.
Hello there. I received my order from Simon Says Stamps yesterday and knew I had to ink up one of their stamp sets right away. I also wanted to try something a little different for today’s simple friendship card.
It was coloured with white and black pencils. First time colouring on colour cardstock other than Kraft and it’s kinda cool. I may have to try this more often. For some sparkle, clear shimmer was added to the petals and buds. It’s hard to tell, but it is really sparkly against the black IRL.
I didn’t have a nice yellow colour cardstock, so the friend sentiment was die cut from a scrap of X-Press It paper and coloured with Y06 Copic marker. Ok, so my Copics didn’t truly get a break after all, 😂 For dimension, friend was die cut from black cardstock three more times. The panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and some Clear Rain Drops finished off the card.
Hugs was die cut 4x from white cardstock to be stacked for dimension. It was Ombré coloured with Wilted Violet distress ink and a mini blending tool. Squeezed Lemonade distress ink was used to shade the background.
Glossy accents on the toucan’s beak, clear glitter on the hugs diecut and a few glitter gumdrops were added to finish. Thank you for visiting. Have a great day!
Hi everyone. I have another CAS spring card to share today. We’ve had a lot of rain lately, which makes me a little nervous for April with the phrase April showers and all. 😂 Rainbows in the spring inspired this card.
Next the wreath frame was die cut from white cardstock. The sentiment was heat embossed with black Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.
A black strip was added to anchor the moose. The stitched panel was adhered to a landscape white top folding cardbase. The moose was mounted with foam adhesive and clear Wink of Stella was added to the flower to finish,
