Hi everyone. I’m back to share a couple more birthday cards to cap off my participation in Winnie and Walter’s 4th Birthday Bash challenges.
This was easier than it looks. To start, distress inks in rainbow colours were blended with a Clarity brush through a Diagonal Grid stencil on a Mixed Media stitched panel. A balloon was then die cut from it and vellum was adhered on the back to cover the opening.
‘Happy’ was die cut from a scrap of DIY black glitter cardstock. ‘Birthday’ was die cut once from white cardstock and then four times from black cardstock to be stacked. The string was die cut from white cardstock.
The assembled panel was mounted with foam adhesive to a white top fording card base. Clear shimmer on the birthday die cut and clear sequins finished off the card.
I didn’t want the balloon cut out to go to waste, so I made a CAS birthday card. Inlaid the balloon and used the hidden die cut technique for the ‘celebrate’ sentiment.
Too funny. I actually had something different in mind, but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes. Thank you for visiting. Have a great day!
