Hi there, Today I have a CAS one layer Father’s Day card that I made for a friend who will be celebrating his first Father’s Day with his 7-month old girl. She also happens to be my goddaughter. 😊
I would normally use masculine images to make a masculine card, but since my friend is a dad to a little girl, I used an adorable girl image this time. I did, however, stick to masculine colors to keep it masculine. I stamped the girl and puppy on white cardstock with Memento black ink. I colored them with Copic markers and then die cut them out with the matching dies.
I did some ink blending with distress inks over a grid stencil to create the background. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock. I did some omitting of two sentiment stamps to get the greeting to say what I want. DAD was die cut from white cardstock three times and stacked for dimension. I then colored DAD with the same Copic marker colors used to color her dress.
The A2 panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and Happy Father’s Day was stamped in black on the inside to finish.
I am panticipating in the following challenges:
STAMPlorations June Theme and Sketch Challenge – I used both
613 Avenue Challenge #180 – Anything Goes with Optional Twist: Create Your Own Challenge (I chose A2-Father’s Day-stencils)
MarkerPop Challenge #97 – Father’s Day
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C340 – Make It Masculine
Fab interpretation of the sketch, the stenciled panel is great and all in a OLC!
Thanks for sharing with us at STAMPlorations. 🙂
