Hi there,  Today I have a CAS one layer Father’s Day card that I made for a friend who will be celebrating his first Father’s Day with his 7-month old girl.  She also happens to be my goddaughter. 😊

 

 

I would normally use masculine images to make a masculine card, but since my friend is a dad to a little girl, I used an adorable girl image this time.  I did, however, stick to masculine colors to keep it masculine.  I stamped the girl and puppy on white cardstock with Memento black ink. I colored them with Copic markers and then die cut them out with the matching dies.

 

 

I did some ink blending with distress inks over a grid stencil to create the background. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock.  I did some omitting of two sentiment stamps to get the greeting to say what I want.  DAD was die cut from white cardstock three times and stacked for dimension.  I then colored DAD with the same Copic marker colors used to color her dress.

 

 

The A2 panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and Happy Father’s Day was stamped in black on the inside to finish.
