I was inspired by the polka dots, flowers, gold colour and hello sentiment. My card would’ve been CAS except for the pattern background. So I guess it now falls in the classy and elegant category.
So the polka dot background is recycled packing paper from my Studio Katia order. It’s actually gift wrap tissue paper they used and I felt it was too pretty to toss into recycling. I adhered the tissue paper to white cardstock, then die cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle die.
I stamped the layering flowers with Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink (retired) and Melon Mambo inks. They were die cut out with the matching dies, then clear Wink of Stella was added for some shimmer. The leaves were stamped with gold pigment ink. The inner vein layer was heat embossed with gold glitter embossing powder for some sparkle. I made sure the solid image was completely dry before doing that step.
The sentiment was heat embossed with the same gold glitter embossing powder on a Stitch Strip die cut from black cardstock. The polka dot piece was adhered to a top folding white card base before all elements were assembled. I was tempted to add some shiny gold sequins, but held off because they would have competed with the tissue paper.
