Hello there. Whaaaaaat? It’s September? How did that happen.. Well, we have a new challenge starting today at Less is More. Challenge #344 is a colour challenge of Royal Blue and Lime Green. Our guest designer this week is Kyle from Happy Little Stampers, which also happens to be our sponsor this month.
BIRTHDAY BEAR
The MISTI and some strategic masking were used to create this card . Everything but the front leg was masked off on Kobi the bear stamp itself before inking it with Memento black ink. The inked leg was stamped onto an X-press It Wonky Stitched Rectangle, then it was masked and the gift was stamped. The leg mask was removed and the gift was masked before Kobi was stamped again.
Kobi, the gift and the bottom of the panel were masked and Twisted Citron distress ink was blended with a mini blending tool for the background. The balloon, hat and sentiment were stamped next with Memento black ink. All masks were then removed and the balloon string was drawn in with a T-ruler and Copic multiliner. Images were coloured with Copics. The panel was mounted with foam adhesive onto a white top folding card base. Glossy Accents on the balloon and a few blue sequins finished off the card.

FLOWERS
Blue is my favourite colour, so why not blue flowers. The images were stamped with Memento black ink on X-press It paper and coloured with Copics. I bought the matching die set, but can’t find them, so they were fussy cut out with a slight white border. The sentiment was white heat embossed on black cardstock. All pieces were adhered to an A2 stitched rectangle mounted on a top folding white card base. Some dripping clear Rain drops were added to finish.

I am always envious of crafters who can make such fabulous CAS cards. The bear card is wonderful. That was a lot of masking. I would have smudged something and then covered it with patterned paper! Thanks so much for sharing this at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge. Good luck. Debi DT
