Less is More #356 Let It Shine

Hello there.  Today starts a new challenge at Less is More (LIM).  The recipe this week is Let It Shine. Simply add something shiny, shimmery, sparkly, or anything else you can think of to your cards.  Our sponsor this month is Dies to Die For.

I was over at Loll’s for a crafty play date and we were re-creating her beautiful ornament shaker card.  I ran out of time, but die cut the necessary pieces to take home.  Instead of a shaker, I simply backed it with an acrylic block stamped piece I had left over.  A frame was dry embossed with a scallop die to give it texture. The sentiment was heat embossed with VersaMark, Sapphire dye ink and clear glitter embossing powder.  Mounted the panel on a white top folding card base with foam adhesives and added a silver bow  to finish.

I needed two birthday cards for two Susans (my teamie Susan had her birthday last Saturday and my other friend Susan’s birthday is today — happy birthday Susan!).  I didn’t want to show favouritism, so I created the same card. 😂  All stamping was done with Memento black ink.  The images were coloured with Copics.

The hooray was die cut from black and silver glitter paper and offset for a shadow effect.  Clear glaze was added to the balloons for dimensions and more shine to finish.
