Less is More #362 Purples

Hello there.  We are back with our first challenge of 2018 at Less is More (LIM).  How fabulous was that extra week in our last challenge?  Hope you liked it because going forward, our challenges will run every two weeks / fortnight!  The challenge rotation remains the same.  So kicking off the year is our colour challenge and the colour is Purples.  We welcome our talented November winner, Wei of Handmade Card by Wei, as our guest designer.  We also welcome a brand new sponsor this month — Skulls and Cross Buns.

Yes, more Christmas cards because living in Canada, orders from the US take a while to arrive, leaving no time to use the products in time for Christmas. 😉   So in keeping with my resolution to use NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff), I made a Christmas card to add to this year’s stash.  Stamped the bear on a scrap of X-press It paper with Memento black ink, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the matching die.

Die cut happy from white cardstock three times to stack for dimension.  Ombré coloured one using a mini blending tool and Wilted Violet DOx ink.  Covered it with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.  It’s very sparkly IRL.  Stamped holidays with Wilted Violet DOx ink on a white strip.

Blended Wilted Violet DOx onto a white stitched panel for the background.  Mounted the panel onto a white top folding card base before assembling.  A few clear sparkly sequibs finished off the card.
