Less is More #364 Music

Hi everyone.  So my recovery from the flu took a turn this week and I got hit with it again! 😔   Still not feeling great, but I am happy February is here.  Not only to put January behind me, but also to celebrate Less is More’s (LIM) 7th birthday!   We have a fun jam packed month with multiple guests, two sponsors (one for each challenge) and some prizes!  To kick things off, we have a Music theme challenge this fortnight.  Our first generous sponsor for this challenge is Uniko.

In honour of LIM’s 7th birthday, I made a birthday card.  On an A2 piece of Neenah cardstock, the puppies were stamped with Memento black ink and masked.  The bottom area was then masked and Sahara Sand ink was blended with a Clarity brush through a brick stencil to create the wall background.

Masks were removed and the pups were coloured with Copics.  In the middle of colouring the pup on the left, my marker leaked a big inky mess.  Has that ever happened to you?  I really didn’t want to start over, so I salvaged it as best I could.  To show the singing intonation, ‘happy birthday’ was shadow stamped with Smoky Slate ink..  It didn’t turn out the way I had pictured, so ‘to you’ was stamped normally in black.  Stamped the music notes (discontinued) in black and mounted the panel to a white top folding card base to finish.

Playing in the following challenges:
Seize the BirthdayAnything Goes Birthday optional topping Candles
Watercooler Wednesday#155 Anything Goes
SSS WednesdayAnything Goes

When I feel better, I may make the other card I had in mind.  But for now, our special guests and my team have made some beautiful cards to inspire you and you can see them all HERE. Hope you will help us celebrate and link up your musical cards.  Thank you for dropping by.  Have a great day.
