Magical Day

Boy, it was a busy long weekend.  And today I finally got a chance to play in My Crafting Closet to make this fun CAS birthday card.

YNS Magical Unicorn, birthday card, color challenges 39, AAA Card Challenge Game 65

I die cut a Stitched Rectangle from Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.  I stamped the Magical Unicorn image and sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that I can color with Copics.

Next, I created a mask for the unicorn and masked off the unicorn.  I  ink blended over a sunray stencil with distress inks and mini blending tool to create the background.  Once again, for a bit of shimmer I added some clear Wink of Stella to the unicorn’s mane and tail.  I love this product because it’s mess free!

I mounted the stitched piece on white fun foam cut slightly smaller and finished with some blue sequins.

  1. great background to the unicorn, Awesome birthday card for any child or adult 🙂

  2. Nice card. I like how the blending on the sunray gave a halo glow around the unicorn. I agree with you about the Wink of Stella – no mess and no excess tacky sparkle.

  3. Loving the background sunrays which showcase the cute unicorn so beautifully. Thanks for joining in AAA Cards birthday celebrations.
