O Christmoose Tree

Hi there.  I have a really fun moose tree Christmas card to share today. I love this Mini Merry Chris-moose stamp, so when I saw this penguin tree card by @carolinepaton1 on Instagram, I wanted to give it a try.

Instead of die cutting each one out like she did, I used the masking technique and stamped them on a white A2 size stitched rectangle panel with Memento black ink.

I coloured with Copics, then added clear Wink of Stella to the hats and scarves.

For the tree trunk, I stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink, then heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.  To anchor the moose, I drew the line with a black Copic multiliner.  I mounted the panel to a white card base, then added a few white snowflake sequins to finish.

From this point forward, I’ve decided to make two of everything (if I can).  Needless to say, there was a lot of colouring today. *lol*

  1. I think I would have to say that this is the best Christmas tree I have seen this year. Looks fantastic. your masking is wonderful as is your colouring. Brilliant.

  2. First, A+ for deciding AND actually doing two cards at the same time, Trina! I always PLAN to do that and I cannot figure out why it is so hard to remember and just do two side-by-side! This card design made me smile from ear-to-ear! A Moose Tree for Christmas – who could want for anything more?! Excellent masking and coloring skills and making a sediment “trunk?” Genius!! Hugs, Darnell
