Pink Polar Hello

Hello there.  Today I am sharing a card that I made for a friend who’s been having a rough time lately.   Unfortunately, she hasn’t received this yet, and when she does, I hope it will brighten her day a little.  And I’m proud to report that I made it with all NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff)!  I couldn’t believe it – FOUR off my massive NBUS list!!! Thanks, Darnell, for running this great challenge.  And here’s my card.

I wanted to make a pink hello card with the NBUS Polar Bear Pals stamp set that I just got a week ago.  To start, a white A2 piece of cardstock was dry embossed with NBUS Softly Falling embossing folder.  The bears were stamped on scraps of X-press It paper with Memento black ink, coloured wth RV and C gray Copic markers then fussy cut out.  Friend from NBUS Thoughtful Messages (a gift from sweet Loll) was white heat embossed on a scrap of black cardstock.  I wanted the left bear to hold it, so I cut around his arm and tucked it under.

The letters from NBUS Bold Alphabet were die cut from more scraps of X-press it paper and also from black cardstock to be stacked.  The white diecut letters were coloured with the same RV Copic markers as the scarves.

The embossed panel was mounted onto a white landscape top folding cardbase before the card was assembled.  The bears were mounted with foam adhesive for dimension and clear shimmer was added for some sparkle to finish.

Thank Ink you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

  1. I LOVE this card – the design is brilliant – especially how the bear is holding the sign under his paw! The ombre letters are gorgeous too! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill

  2. This is so adorable and I’m sure it will put a smile on your friend’s face. Love the ombre coloring on the “hello” sentiment. Thanks for playing our Time Out challenge!

  3. This is such a wonderful card. I love the pink and the sparkle, and the way you’ve tucked the friend sign into the bear’s arm is such a perfect touch, super professional! I’m sure your friend will love it. Thank you for sharing with us at Time Out Challenge. Jenny x

  4. I love this Trina! So clever use of those cute bears and the large sentiment looks amazing. Loving the falling snow too! Thanks for joining us at TIME OUT!

  5. Ah, dang it, Trina, I already have a polar bear stamp set, but this one from MFT is un”bear”ably sweet and I must have it now just so I can make a hello card with them as the “ll”s and holding a friend sign under the arm! Wait. What? So then I have to by THAT hello set – even though I have like ten of them already!! Sigh! So I’ve just talked it over with The Mister and he agrees that you are bad for our budget and it would be cheaper for me to just move in with you and use your schtuff!! Okay? Good!

Seriously, in case you couldn’t tell, I love this! I love the falling snow and the brilliant way you ombre-colored the hello and how you sweetly tucked the friend sign under his arm! I’m sorry your friend is going through a rough time. This card will absolutely make her smile!! Thank you so much for playing three times in my NBUS Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
