Saturday night and I have a little bit of time to post before bed. May is starting off a little too crazy busy here. From Mother’s Day last weekend to preparing for my punch art class tomorrow to my anniversary today <sigh>…but enough about me. Let’s get to my card share.
I am really liking the sketches over at Freshly Made Sketches ever since I discovered it 3 weeks ago. So when I was creating my punch art puppy card for my class tomorrow, I couldn’t resist using the latest FMS Sketch 236.
It was this punch art puppy posted by Leeann Greff on behalf of the creator Melissa A. that had me thinking about punch art again and I decided to do a class. And since puppies/dogs are man’s best friends, I went with a friendship card. The sentiment from Purrrfect was heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock die cut from a stitched snow drift border die.
I just wanted a black and white card with a splash of color. I used a Sun Ray stencil and a blending tool and blended Mustard Seed distress ink to create the background behind the puppy. I finished the card with a small punch heart colored with the same distress ink and popped it up with foam tape.
