Purple Winter Wishes

Hello again.  I am quickly popping in with a second post today to share a non-traditional colour CAS Christmas card.

The penguin image was stamped with Memento black ink on X-Press It paper, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating die (my alignment was off, so I had to do some fussy cutting to try to even it out). The sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

The background was created by ink smooshing Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper, then die cutting with a circle die.

A Zig Zag Stitched panel was die cut from watercolor paper and adhered to a white top folding card base.  All the pieces were assembled and mounted to it.  Clear shimmer and some sequins finished off the card.

And that’s it for today.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day or night wherever you are.

  1. Those penguins are adorable! Great copic colouring as always, Trina! Love the smooshed panel and the way you’ve positioned the circle. xx

  2. Love those penguins huddling together in front of your beautifully inked circle, Trina. Thanks for sharing them with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.

  3. A trio of cutie-patooties, Trina! Adorable penguins and how pretty the purple background! Love the layout – so different from my smack-dad-in-the-middle image tendencies! Inspired to try some different arrangements! Thank you for sharing this gem in the Addicted to Stamps and More Holiday gallery! Looking forward to seeing you in the next challenge!
