Hello there. I am needing a Father’s Day card, so my card today is an easy masculine card.
To create the water, I made a couple of edge masks from acetate using snow drifts dies. I masked the bottom 1″ off with temporary adhesive tape. Then using the acetate masks, I created sections of water to sponge in different colors of blue distress inks.
The sun is a circle die-cut from watercolor paper then watercolored with distress inks. The sailboat and seagulls were die cut 3 times from white cardstock using the Out To Sea die. I just used my scissors to cut out the images that I wanted from the die. I stacked the 3 sailboats together for dimension, and left the seagulls as a single layer. The greeting is stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock.
I added white fun foam to the panel before mounting it on a top folding white card base. I stamped Happy Father’s Day on the inside to complete my card.
