Sweet Joy

Posted on by

Hi there.  Still plugging away at Christmas cards, but now for my own personal use, especially now that I’ve donated all my cards – yikes😱!  So today I am sharing a sweet CAS Christmas card.

The Candy Stripe background was stamped with Real Red dye ink.  The gingerbread and hat were stamped with Memento black ink, coloured with Copics and then fussy cut and die cut out, respectively.  The candy cane was die cut from red and white cardstock.

I sponged on some Squeezed Lemonade for the background. For shimmer and sparkle, I spritz with DIY shimmer spray. The sentiment (wishing you, joy) was stamped with Versafine ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I assembled the card onto a white cardbase and finished with a few white snowflake sequins.  I made two versions of this card.  The main difference on the other card (pictured right below) was sponging Real Red ink through a Candy Cane stencil instead of stamping the stripe background.

I am entering in the following challenges:

Curtain Call – Sweet
Cards in Envy – Wouldn’t that be SWEET?
Merry Monday – #225 Candy Cane
MarkerPop – #109 Color
CAS(E) this Sketch – CTS#201
AAA Cards – #79 Christmas
CAS on Sunday – #97 Christmas
Fantasy Stampers – #77 CAS Christmas
