Happy Monday everyone. Today I am sharing a CAS birthday card created for my sweet crafty friend Nancy. Her birthday is today! Unfortunately, I didn’t send it early enough and she did not get this before leaving on her trip… so surprise, Nancy! Hope you’re enjoying your birthday getaway. For her card, I brought back my favourite Buddy image and paired him with a NBUS happy die. Love these triple layer word dies.
An A2 size stitched rectangle was die cut from X-press It paper. Buddy was stamped with Memento black ink then coloured and shaded with cool gray Copic markers.
The word happy and first layer were die cut from white cardstock. The happy word diecut was placed back into the negative piece to make it easier to colour it with a mini blending tool and distress inks.
The bottom happy layer was die cut from black cardstock and another happy word was die cut from white cardstock to be stacked. Birthday was white heat embossed on a scrap of black cardstock. The stitched panel was mounted to a top folding card base before the sentiments were adhered. Clear shimmer on the pastel coloured happy finished the card.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I am sharing another super CAS birthday card with Buddy. The stamp set was still sitting out on my desk, and since I still need to make more birthday cards, I made this.
Buddy was stamped in the upper right corner of a white A2 stitched rectangle panel with Intense Black ink and coloured with Copics. I then masked him and used a DIY cloud stencil and blending tool to crelate the sky background with Tumbled Glass distress ink.
The sentiment was die cut twice from white cardstock to stack them for dimension. They were Ombré coloured with Copics and highlights were added with a white gel pen. To make the sentiment the focus and really stand out, I die cut another sentiment from black cardstock and offset them to get a shadow effect.
The panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and glossy accents was added to the balloon and sentiment as a finishing touch. As you can see, I made two cards but added a stamped sentiment to the other one.

Hi there. Just dropping in quickly to share a CAS birthday card.
I stamped the Buddy image on a white A2 X-Press It piece of paper with Memento black ink and coloured with Copic markers. For some shimmer, I added clear glitter to the bow/ribbon on the present with my new Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.
Next I masked off the image and lightly sponged some Real Red ink for the background. I removed majority of the ink off on a scrap piece of paper before applying to get a soft look. The A2 piece was then die cut out with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle. I lightly sponged the edge as well.
The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black fishtail banner. The stitched piece was mounted to a white top folding card base and a few sparkling clear sequins were added to finish.
I am entering in the following challenges:
