Time Out Challenge #89 Reminder

Hi there.  This is the reminder post for Time Out challenge #89 that I am guest designing for. And just in case you forgot, this is the photo inspiration for the challenge.

.

And here’s my card.

This time, I created a CAS card still keeping to masculine colours, but the focus moved down to the trunk, or what I refer to as a chest.  I used Ahoy, Matey since there was a chest image.

The palm tree was stamped with Memento black ink on a stitched X-press It rectangle, then masked.  The sand and water were created by blending Tumbled Glass distress ink and Soft Suede dye ink with a mini blending tool.  A brown marker was used to add sand details.  The trunk was stamped on a scrap piece of X-press It and die cut out with the matching die.  Images were coloured with Copics.  Silver and gold Copic Spica pens were also used to colour the chest.

The chest was adhered before stamping the sentiment.  The panel was mounted with fun foam on a white top folding card base to give it some dimension.  A few gold sequins finished off the card.  There is still time to join in the challenge.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Guest Designer for Time Out Challenge #89

Hello there.  I am excited and honoured to be the guest designer for Time Out challenge #89.  It is their Home Sweet Home photo challenge sponsored by STAMPlorations.  Here’s the photo inspiration.

There are so many things in this photo to be inspired by. I just couldn’t ignore that huge world map plastered across the wall as well as the masculine colour pallet.  And this is what resulted.

The world image is from a discontinued embossing folder (EF).  Using a rubber brayer, the flat side of the embossing folder was inked with Crumb Cake.  An A2 size piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was added to the EF and embossed with the Big Shot. Next, it was trimmed down and matted onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

Wishing was die cut twice from navy cardstock and stacked,  The sentiment was white heat embossed on a navy strip as well.

The panel was adhered to a Crumb Cake card base and glossy accents added to Wishing finished off the card.

Now it’s your turn to take some time out and join us.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a great day!
