On an A2 size piece of Neenah cardstock, the floral image was positioned off the corner in my MISTI and stamped with Memento black ink. Flipped the panel and re-stamped in the opposite corner. The MISTI makes this super easy.
Masked the image and sponged gray and blue dye inks for background shading. Removed mask and coloured with Copics. White heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip. Die cut the piece with a stitched rectangle and mounted it onto a white top folding card base. For some sparkle to finish, added clear glitter to the flowers and a few clear sparkly sequins.
My team rocked this challenge creating beautiful cards to inspire you. Make sure to check them out HERE… they may even have a little extra bonus cards on their personal blogs to share too. It may be the most wonderful time of year, but also a busy one. Hopefully, you can carve out some time to join us this fortnight. Thank you for taking the time to visit. Wishing you and yours a merry Christmas and a joyous new year!
Hi everyone. I’m back for my third post this month as guest designer for Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge. This week is a colour challenge and the colours are turquoise, brown and gold.
I thought these colours would make a great Christmas card, so here’s my card.
An A2 piece of Soft Suede cardstock was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. The bear was stamped with black Memento ink on a scrap of X-Press It paper, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating die. Took a circle diecut from my stash and sponged Tempting Turquoise on the upper part.
The sentiment was die cut from Soft Suede cardstock and a piece of gold gilding flakes I had from a crafty playdate at Loll’s back in September. It was my first experience with gilding flakes, and although it’s beautiful, it sure is messy.
All pieces were mounted onto a white top folding card base and snow was added on the circle image with a white gel pen to finish.
This is such a cool colour combo, so I really hope you will join us this week. For more inspirations, make sure to head over to the JUGS blog post HERE and check out the wonderful creations by the design team. Thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful week.
Hello there. I am so excited to announce that I am guest designing at Just Us Girls Challenge (JUGS) for the whole month of November! First up is Word Week and the word is Thankful.
And here’s my CAS floral thank you card.
With this theme, I had to use Clearly Besotted’s stamp set appropriately called Thanks a Bunch. This set not only has a beautiful rose cluster image, but contains various thank you sentiments in different languages. To start, a white stitched rectangle panel was die cut from Neenah cardstock.
The image was stamped with black Memento ink, then coloured with Copics. The sentiment from the set was black heat embossed.
Love my shimmer, so clear glitter was added to the flowers. Some clear raindrops finished off the card.
For more inspirations, be sure to check out the beautiful creations from the JUGS deign team HERE. Then come join us and link up your creations. Looking forward to seeing what you create. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.
Hi there. Been lacking energy lately, but wanted to complete a card I started. I’m sharing a CAS Mix Media floral birthday card using one of my favourite sets from Clearly Besotted in one of my favourite colour combos. These flowers are large and fun to colour.
Stamped the flowers with Memento black ink on a stitched X-Press It rectangle. Coloured with Copics.
Masked the image and blended Smoky Slate ink with a Clarity brush through a Halftone stencil for the background.
White heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive. Added clear shimmer to the flowers to finish.
And that is it. Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your day.
Hello there. And Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and step-fathers out there. To celebrate today, I am sharing a funny CAS Father’s Day card. The idea for my card actually came from a Mother’s Day stamp set with “Thanks to you I turned out awesome” sentiment. 😂 Too funny.
The panda image and sentiment were stamped with black Memento ink on a white A2 rectangle.
Bluprint Sketch distress ink and a mini blending tool were used to Ombré colour the dad diecut sentiment and to shade the background.
Glossy Accents was added to dad for a bit of dimension and as a finishing touch. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week.
