Hi everyone. I’m back for my third post this month as guest designer for Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge. This week is a colour challenge and the colours are turquoise, brown and gold.
I thought these colours would make a great Christmas card, so here’s my card.
An A2 piece of Soft Suede cardstock was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. The bear was stamped with black Memento ink on a scrap of X-Press It paper, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating die. Took a circle diecut from my stash and sponged Tempting Turquoise on the upper part.
The sentiment was die cut from Soft Suede cardstock and a piece of gold gilding flakes I had from a crafty playdate at Loll’s back in September. It was my first experience with gilding flakes, and although it’s beautiful, it sure is messy.
All pieces were mounted onto a white top folding card base and snow was added on the circle image with a white gel pen to finish.
This is such a cool colour combo, so I really hope you will join us this week. For more inspirations, make sure to head over to the JUGS blog post HERE and check out the wonderful creations by the design team. Thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful week.
Hello there. I am so excited to announce that I am guest designing at Just Us Girls Challenge (JUGS) for the whole month of November! First up is Word Week and the word is Thankful.
And here’s my CAS floral thank you card.
With this theme, I had to use Clearly Besotted’s stamp set appropriately called Thanks a Bunch. This set not only has a beautiful rose cluster image, but contains various thank you sentiments in different languages. To start, a white stitched rectangle panel was die cut from Neenah cardstock.
The image was stamped with black Memento ink, then coloured with Copics. The sentiment from the set was black heat embossed.
Love my shimmer, so clear glitter was added to the flowers. Some clear raindrops finished off the card.

Hi there. Been lacking energy lately, but wanted to complete a card I started. I’m sharing a CAS Mix Media floral birthday card using one of my favourite sets from Clearly Besotted in one of my favourite colour combos. These flowers are large and fun to colour.
Stamped the flowers with Memento black ink on a stitched X-Press It rectangle. Coloured with Copics.
Masked the image and blended Smoky Slate ink with a Clarity brush through a Halftone stencil for the background.
White heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive. Added clear shimmer to the flowers to finish.
And that is it. Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your day.
Hello there. And Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and step-fathers out there. To celebrate today, I am sharing a funny CAS Father’s Day card. The idea for my card actually came from a Mother’s Day stamp set with “Thanks to you I turned out awesome” sentiment. 😂 Too funny.
The panda image and sentiment were stamped with black Memento ink on a white A2 rectangle.
Bluprint Sketch distress ink and a mini blending tool were used to Ombré colour the dad diecut sentiment and to shade the background.
Glossy Accents was added to dad for a bit of dimension and as a finishing touch. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week.
Hi there. Today’s CAS card was unexpected. There is a new NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) challenge I wanted to try. I found out about this challenge from Di at Pixie’s Crafty Workshop who posted a heads up about it last week. Like many of you crafters out there, I am so guilty of purchasing with good intentions, and then letting them collect dust. There is just so much good schtuff out there and so little time to use them. *lol* Needless to say, I have a large stash of NBUS, which made deciding what NBUS to use first the toughest part of creating today’s card! So my chosen NBUS is this stamp set To Have & To Hold, which was purchased several months ago. This is a wedding stamp set, but I saw potential for more.
First, I die cut a heart mask and masked the centre of a white A2 Stitched Rectangle. I created the masks for the lilies by stamping them on labelling tape with Archival black ink and fussy cutting them out. I then stamped the lilies around the heart mask, masking each lily before stamping the next.
I removed the lily masks and left the heart mask in place while I colored and shaded the lilies with a black Polychromous pencil for a black and white look. For a pop of color, I removed the heart mask and stamped the sending sentiment with Velvet dye ink and VersaMark. I heat embossed it with a clear glitter embossing powder.
The red glitter hugs die-cut was a snippet I didn’t end up using when I created THIS card and opted for a white glitter hugs sentiment. For dimension, I die cut 2 more hugs from white cardstock and stacked them. To finish I added a few sparkling clear sequins and mounted it onto a white card base. With all the masking this is a one layer card.
