Wild Animals

Hi there.  I’m back again this time with a watercolour card, which is a little outside my comfort zone.  But it was fun nonetheless.

Not a lot of steps to describe here. Let’s just say there was a lot of stamping and masking starting from the truck at the bottom and working upwards. The images are from Party Animals and Go Wild stamp sets.

Black Archival ink was used to stamp the images on watercolor paper.  Only the truck was black heat embossed.  I was going to black heat embossed all images, but changed my mind after the truck.  Watercoloured with Zig markers and a watercolor brush.  For texture, spritz the sky and ground with water and dabbed with a paper towel.  Also, added some blue splatters.

Die cut with a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle and mounted it on to a white top folded card base.  I was temptied to add some clear shimmer, but that would be silly for a wild jungle scene 😂, so Glossy Accents was added to the stamped sentiments and the headlights to finish.

Thank you for coming by.  See you next time

Smiling Unicorn

Happy Good Friday everyone!  Hope your Easter weekend is off to a good start. I just had to squeeze in another bright and cheery rainbow card before Easter.  This card makes me smile. 😉

Masks were created from a Stitched Snow Drift die and Labeling Tape. Using the mask as a guide, the sentiment was set up in my MISTI in the shape of the curve and black heat embossed on a white Stitched Rectangle.

The sentiment was then masked off and distress inks were blended in rainbow colours.  For sparkle, the rainbow area was spritz with a DIY shimmer spray.

Next, the unicorn was stamped with black Memento ink and coloured with Copics.  The present from the same set was stamped on a scrap of X-press It paper then fussy cut out.  Clear Wink of Stella was added to the present and horn, and a few Crystal Clear sequins finished this card off.

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

Puppy Kisses

Hi there.  A really quick and simple Christmas card where the image speaks for itself.  Who doesn’t love Santa and a puppy?   All I had to do was colour it.

I stamped this adorable image with Memento black ink onto a white 5-1/2″x4″ panel, then coloured with red and cool gray Copic markers.

For sparkle and shine, I added clear Wink of Stella to Santa’s suit and mittens.  The diagonal stripe strips down the sides are leftover resist pattern paper that I just sponged with Real Red ink and then wiped off the ink from the resist areas.

The sentiment was stamped wth Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.  Merry Christmas was stamped on the inside.  The panel was adhered to a top folding white card base and a few white sequins were added to finish
