Hellio there! Another fortnight has passed and we are back with a new challenge at Less is More (LIM). It is a sketch this time. We have our February winner, Sue of Sue’s Card Craft, joining us as our guest designer. Once again, our generous sponsor this month is Happy Little Stampers.
I decided to create a simple sky scene with these little bees, so a stitched rectangle was die cut from Bashful Blue cardstock (retired). Inked VersaMark through a cloud stencil and heat embossed with White Puff embossing powder (ep). This ep is new to me and instead of a shiny raised image, it leaves a puffy texture. Next, stamped the large and small bees on scraps of X-Press It paper, coloured them with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was white heat embossed with regular white ep on a black strip. Mounted the blue panel to a white top folding card base then assembled the elements on the card. Added clear shimmer to the bees’ wings to finish.

Happy new year everyone! Hope you all had a fun night celebrating. I wasn’t feeling up to going out to a house party, so opted for a quiet relaxing night at home. Whatever you did last night, I hope you’re feeling better than these bunnies. 😂 They celebrated hard.
The Blah Bunny stamp set is so funny and I’ve been waiting for a chance to use it. On a piece of Neenah cardstock, stamped the Blah Humbunny with Memento black ink. Masked him and stamped the Blah Bunny. Masked again as well as the upper half of the panel, then stamped the NBUS wood floor in Sahara Sand ink. Sponged on Sahara Sand ink to finish the floor.
Removed masks and coloured with Copics. Heat embossed the confetti bits with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Black heat embossed happy with clear glitter embossing powder and white heat embossed new year on a black strip.
I was going to leave it plain as is, but it looked incomplete, so I added the wine/champagne bottles and hats. The bottles (discontinued) and hats were stamped with Memento black ink on scraps of X-Press It paper, coloured with Copics and fussy cut out. Adhered them to the scene and mounted the panel to a white top folding card base to finish.
Thank you for stopping by. Wishing you a happy, healthy and crafty new year!

SSS Monday – Something New
Happy Monday everyone. Today I am sharing a CAS birthday card created for my sweet crafty friend Nancy. Her birthday is today! Unfortunately, I didn’t send it early enough and she did not get this before leaving on her trip… so surprise, Nancy! Hope you’re enjoying your birthday getaway. For her card, I brought back my favourite Buddy image and paired him with a NBUS happy die. Love these triple layer word dies.
An A2 size stitched rectangle was die cut from X-press It paper. Buddy was stamped with Memento black ink then coloured and shaded with cool gray Copic markers.
The word happy and first layer were die cut from white cardstock. The happy word diecut was placed back into the negative piece to make it easier to colour it with a mini blending tool and distress inks.
The bottom happy layer was die cut from black cardstock and another happy word was die cut from white cardstock to be stacked. Birthday was white heat embossed on a scrap of black cardstock. The stitched panel was mounted to a top folding card base before the sentiments were adhered. Clear shimmer on the pastel coloured happy finished the card.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Hello there. I’m back today with a new challenge at Less is More (LIM). It’s theme week and challenge #346 is Take Flight. Our sponsor this month is Happy Little Stampers.
FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLEBEE
I made this card for my crafty friend, Di, who celebrated her birthday this past Tuesday. The idea came from the orchestra interlude Flight of the Bumblebee. I also wanted to use that yippee diecut that I had saved after not using it on a previous project. All images were stamped with Memento black ink on A2 size X-press It paper.
Masking was used to stamp the flower cluster. Did some simple colouring and shading with Copic markers. White heat embossed it’s your birthday on a black cardstock strip. Mounted panel onto a white top folding card base. Added clear shimmer to the bee’s wings and white yippee to finish.
