YNS July 2017 DT Dare

Hello everyone!  I’m back today for my final post as the July release guest designer at Your Next Stamp (YNS).  This month’s DT Dare is to create a project based on the theme It’s a Boy Thing using the re-release products.  All projects can be seen on the YNS blog.  Leave a comment on that post by July 14 for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice.

YNS Supplies:
For the Boys | Create a Character | One in a Chaneleon | Retro Gumdrops

I had to bring back For the Boys stamp set to make this masculine card. The beer image was stamped with black Memento ink on a piece of X-Press It paper and coloured with Copics.  It was then masked and the legs were stamped.  The legs were masked next so brown and yellow ink can be added to the background with a mini blending tool.

The splats were stamped in the same yellow and the sentiment in black. The panel was trimmed down to 4.75″ x 3.5″ and mounted on brown cardstock with a 1/8″ border.

The whole panel was adhered on a Kraft top folded card base at an angle…because he’s tipsy. 😂  Glossy Accents was then added to the beer mug for a glass look.  Googly eyes and a small Retro gumdrop were added to finish.

Remember to head to the YNS blog post and leave a comment there for your chance to win a free stamp set of your choice.  Thank you for your visit.  Have a great day!

YNS July 2017 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the YNS July 2017 Blog Hop! And no blog hop is complete without a giveaway and a sale!  More on those at the end of this post.

YNS Supplies:
For the Boys | Fancy Hello | Circles Stitching MarksStitched Rectangle
Swirly Fun Paper Pad | Hey Baby Gumdrops

I think I was still stuck on the theme It’s a Girl Thing because I used a fun masculine set and created a feminine card. I thought it worked great for females too. Besides, women use smartphones, can BBQ and drink beer, don’t they? 😂  The phone was stamped on white cardstock and pink pattern paper for paper piecing.  It was then die cut out with the matching die. To make it look even more feminine, eyelashes were added with a black Copic multiliner

Hello was die cut from dark gray cardstock three tines and stacked for dimension.  The circle stitching marks were created on a white Stitched Rectangle.

The panel was backed onto dark gray cardstock and then adhered to a white top folded card base.  The phone was mounted with a mini action wobble…because it’s on vibrate. 😂  Some pink sparkly gumdrops were added to finish.  Check it out in action.
