Hi everyone. I’m back for my third post this month as guest designer for Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge. This week is a colour challenge and the colours are turquoise, brown and gold.
I thought these colours would make a great Christmas card, so here’s my card.
An A2 piece of Soft Suede cardstock was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. The bear was stamped with black Memento ink on a scrap of X-Press It paper, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating die. Took a circle diecut from my stash and sponged Tempting Turquoise on the upper part.
The sentiment was die cut from Soft Suede cardstock and a piece of gold gilding flakes I had from a crafty playdate at Loll’s back in September. It was my first experience with gilding flakes, and although it’s beautiful, it sure is messy.
All pieces were mounted onto a white top folding card base and snow was added on the circle image with a white gel pen to finish.
This is such a cool colour combo, so I really hope you will join us this week. For more inspirations, make sure to head over to the JUGS blog post HERE and check out the wonderful creations by the design team. Thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful week.
I wanted to make a Christmas card, but I didn’t have any Christmas silhouette stamps — or so I thought… it seems I have forgotten what I‘ve purchased. 😂 And here’s my card.
A stitched rectangle panel was die cut from Mixed Media paper. A reverse circle mask was created by diecutting from copy paper. Temporary adhesive was used to hold the mask in place, then the bird was stamped with VersaMark and white heat embossed.
Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch distress inks were ink blended for an Ombré sky. Wiped off excess ink with a tissue, then spritz with water. Dabbed with a paper towel to get a snowy effect. Quickly dried with the heat tool before stamping the pine branches from the set with Archival black ink. Removed mask to reveal the mini scene.
Die cut peace from silver glitterpaper and from black cardstock to offset them. Added some subtle snowflakes with a white gel pen. Mounted the panel with foam adhesives to a white top folding card base to finish.

Hello there. I am so excited to announce that I am guest designing at Just Us Girls Challenge (JUGS) for the whole month of November! First up is Word Week and the word is Thankful.
And here’s my CAS floral thank you card.
With this theme, I had to use Clearly Besotted’s stamp set appropriately called Thanks a Bunch. This set not only has a beautiful rose cluster image, but contains various thank you sentiments in different languages. To start, a white stitched rectangle panel was die cut from Neenah cardstock.
The image was stamped with black Memento ink, then coloured with Copics. The sentiment from the set was black heat embossed.
Love my shimmer, so clear glitter was added to the flowers. Some clear raindrops finished off the card.
