More Little Birthday Monkeys

Hello there!  Since I needed another birthday card and I couldn’t resist playing with those cute little monkeys again, I made this fun little rainbow birthday card.

First, stamped the monkeys on X-press It paper with Copic-friendly black ink, coloured with Copics then die cut out with the matching dies.  Used a label maker for the ‘HB2U’ sentiment.

Next, die cut a grid window from Whisper White cardstock and trimmed down to six squares.  Cut a rectangle piece also from Whisper White cardstock the same size as the grid and blended Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress oxide inks using a mini blending tool.  Overlapped the colours to get secondary colours for a fuller rainbow effect.  Lightly spritz with water and blot with a paper towel to add some texture.

Adhered all elements onto a stitched A2 Whisper White panel based on the sketch #336 from Freshly Made Sketches.  Attached the panel to a white top folding card base and added clear shimmer to finish.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a wonderful day!

Little Birthday Monkeys

Hello there!  So after three weeks (gotta love the US-Canadian postal service 😝), my Mama Elephant order finally arrived and I couldn’t wait to ink up the Little Monkey Agenda stamp set to create this CAS birthday card.

To start, stamped the monkeys on X-press It paper with Memento black ink, coloured with Copics and die cut out with the coordinating dies.  These little monkeys were a bit challenging to colour due to their small size, but I persevered. 😉  Next die cut the stitched rectangle panel with the trio of peek-a-boo windows from Whisper White cardstock.  Black heat embossed the sentiment with clear glitter embossing powder.

For some colour behind the windows, ink blended Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueorint Sketch distress oxide inks on a piece of Bristol smooth paper with a mini blending tool.  Spritz with water and dabbed with a paper towel for a bit of texture.  Adhered the monkeys, then mounted the panel with fun foam on a white top folding card vase for some dimension to finish.

These monkeys make me smile and I have other plans for them. 😂   Thank you for dropping in.  Have a wonderful day!
