Time Out Challenge #102 Love Photo Reminder

Hello there.  This is the reminder post for Time Out (TO) photo inspiration challenge #102.  It’s the half way point, so there is still plentry of time to play along.  Here’s the inspiration photo again.

My first card incorporated pretty much all the elements in the photo except for the floor.  So this time the brown wood floor is the inspiration jump off point for my love theme card.

I didn’t want to make a brown dominant card, so this NBUS otter represents my brown.  It was stamped with Memento black ink on a scrap of Neenah cardstock, coloured with Copics,  then die cut out with the matching die.

Sending’ was die cut three times to be stacked for dimension — once from a scrap of DIY black glitter paper in my stash and twice from regular black cardstock.  Love and hugs’ was white heat embossed on a black strip.  The NBUS and already retired ‘xoxo’ was die cut from red glitter paper.  I’m sure I have other unused products that have already retired. 😂

A piece of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  It was mounted wth foam adhesives to a white top folding card base before all the pieces were assembled.  Clear glitter was added to the heart to finish off the card.

It has been an honour to GD for TO.  Make sure you check out the wonderful cards from the TO design team HERE for more inspiration.  Can’t wait to see what inspires you.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a super day.

Eturtle Love

Hi everyone.  I’m back today with a second punny CAS turtle Valentine’s/love card. Once you see the sentiment, you’ll know where my inspiration came from. 😂 I had so much fun with my turtle Valentine’s card yesterday that I decided to break out another NBUS set with a turtle.  And here’s my card.

On a white A2 size piece of X-press It paper, I stamped the turtles with Memento black ink and coloured with YG01, YG03, YG17, G99 Copic markers.  I then masked them and blended Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch distress inks for a watery background.  For texture I spritz with water, then dabbed with a paper towel to lift some colour.

With some creative masking and my MISTI, I customized the eturtle sentiment and white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.  I cut around the right flipper of the right turtle to tuck the sentiment strip under.

Next I die cut the piece with a Stitch Rectangle before adhering it on a white top folding card base.  To finish, I added clear Wink of Stella to the heart-shaped shells and added a few clear droplets because I thought they kinda look like bubbles.
