Unicorn Rainbow Birthday

Hello there.  It’s a lovely sunny day here today!  Seems appropriate to share a rainbow birthday card I created for my niece who turned 6 this month.  Love any excuse to make rainbow cards.  😉

On a Neenah stitched rectangle panel, the unicorn was stamped with black Memento ink and masked.  Several wavy edge masks were die cut from masking paper with a snow drift die.  They were then used to mask off sections and distress inks in rainbow colours were blended with a mini blending tool.

Removed the unicorn mask and coloured with Copics.  The sentiment was black heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.

The panel was mounted with foam adhesive to a white top folding card base.  Clear shimmer was added to the rainbow and some sparkly clear sequins finished off the card.

Thank you for stopping by.  Unicorn kisses and rainbow wishes… 😂   I know it’s cheesy, but it’s just that kinda day.  😆

First Birthday

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbours to the south.  So a little break from Christmas cards today because I needed a birthday card for my goddaughter, Kaliya, who just turned one.  i wanted to make a sweet birthday card, so I brought out a couple of my many unicorn stamps.  I made two similar versions of today’s card.

Kaliya'S 1st Birthday

I stamped the unicorn with Intense Black ink on white cardstock and coloured with Copics.  I don’t have the matching die, so I fussy cut it out then added clear Wink of Stella for some sparkle.  The bottom cloud was die cut with a cloud border die and the top cloud was from a stitched cloud die.

Kaliya'S 1st Birthday

The rainbow was die cut from white glitter paper and coloured with a sponge dauber and Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Sour Apple and Lush Lagoon dye inks.

Kaliya'S 1st Birthday

I sponged on some Bashful Blue dye ink (retired) on a white Wonky Stitched Rectangle to create the sky background.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black with clear glitter embossing powder.  It’s quite a sparkly card, so I didn’t think it needed any embellishments.  And that completes the card.

And here are the two versions of the card with slight differences including the unicorn, sentiment and personalized name.
