Less is More #345

Happy Saturday everyone.  It’s one layer card week at Less is More (LIM) and it’s a good one.  Challenge #345 is Colouring In. So many possibilities with this one.  Our generous sponsor this month ince again is Happy Little Stampers.

PENCIL COLOURING

I don’t use colour pencils very often, but I love the look of it especially on Kraft.  Stamped the azaleas with Intense Black ink on a top folding Kraft card base and coloured in with Prismacolor pencils.  Used a rectangle die to trace a frame with a black marker.  Black heat embossed the sentiment.  Added clear shimmer to the flowers and a few black Nuvo drops (thanks Nonni 😉) to finish.

COPIC COLOURING

I was working on something else, but it didn’t work out so I went back to my favourite colouring method. 😜  Stamped the chickie with Memento black ink on a white no bleed-through Copic-friendly top folding card base.  Masked it, then stamped the branch.  Next, masked the branch as well as above and below the images, leaving a panel across the middle.  Ink blended Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar distress inks over a cloud stencil with a mini blending tool to create the sky background.  Removed masks and coloured in with Copics.  Stamped the sentiment with Versafine black ink and added clear shimmer to the pink clouds to finish.

Guest Surprise Sweetie Challenge 387

Happy Sunday everyone!  I’m back again and I am excited to be a guest Surprise Sweetie for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 387.  This week it is a theme challenge and the theme is Snow Globe.

CIC 387

I was so happy to find out about this theme because I finally got to ink up images from a stamp set that I purchased many years ago.  Unfortunately, this set is no longer available.  Anyway, here’s my card.

Snow Globe Christmas Card

This was pretty simple to make.  I stamped the snow globe image with Intense Black ink in the centre of a white stitched rectangle panel  and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

Snow Globe Christmas Card

I wanted the snow globe to look like it’s glowing, so I sponged on some Bashful Blue ink, ensuring to leave white space around it.  For the starry background, I used a white Signo gel pen.  To make a few of the stars “shine”, I used a white Prismacolor pencil to add radiating lines.

Snow Globe Christmas Card

I die cut the sentiment twice from white cardstock and once from glitter paper to stack them for dimension.  The panel was mounted on a top folding white card base and glossy accents was added to the globe as the finishing touch.

Now it’s your turn.  Enter for a chance to win a prize from this week’s sponsor Digital Stamps by Louby Lou.
