Less is More #369 – Bring Something Back

Hi there!  Are you ready for a new challenge at Less is More (LIM)?  This fortnight, the challenge is to Bring Something Back.  It could be something you have not used in a while or something that is outdated or simply an old favourite stamp.  We have two guest designers joining us: our January random prize winner Cara of Crafting Bunnies and our February winner Sue of Sentimentally Sue.  Our sponsor this month is Happy Little Stampers  (HLS).

BALLOON PUNCH & COLOR SPRITZER

During my time as a SU! Demonstrator, punches were huge and I had a healthy collection.  Then when dies became more popular and available, my punches started to collect dust.  Since I was not using them anymore, I did a complete punch destash last year.  Sadly, not all sold, so now I get to bring back punches.  I have two cards to share.

First up is this straightforward birthday card.  Punched out the balloons (retired) from white cardstock, coloured with Copics then added a highlight with a white gel pen.  Adhered the balloons to a white Wonky Stitched rectangle from my stash.  Black heat embossed the sentiment (retired HLS) with clear glitter embossing powder.  For the ‘confetti’, brought back the color spritzer and used it with a black marker.  Adhered the panel to a white top folding card base then added Crystal Glaze to the balloons to finish.

PUNCH ART GNOME

For my second card, I did a punch art gnome.  Back in the day 😂, when I didn’t have a particular stamp, I would try to create what I needed using a variety of punches (example posts from 2 years ago HERE, HERE and HERE).  Other than the eyes, this gnome was created entirely from one flower petals punch (retired).   The mushroom was created from a wide oval and circle punches.  The background strip is blended distress oxide inks on a masked Mix Media stitch rectangle. White heat embossed the sentiment, mounted the punch art pieces and adhered the panel to a top folding card base to finish.

Now it’s your turn to bring something back and play along.  My team and our guests have some great ideas and made wonderful cards to inspire you.  You can see them HERE.  Looking forward to seeing your creations.  Thank you for dropping by.  Happy crafting! 😉
