Hello there! Since I needed another birthday card and I couldn’t resist playing with those cute little monkeys again, I made this fun little rainbow birthday card.
First, stamped the monkeys on X-press It paper with Copic-friendly black ink, coloured with Copics then die cut out with the matching dies. Used a label maker for the ‘HB2U’ sentiment.
Next, die cut a grid window from Whisper White cardstock and trimmed down to six squares. Cut a rectangle piece also from Whisper White cardstock the same size as the grid and blended Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress oxide inks using a mini blending tool. Overlapped the colours to get secondary colours for a fuller rainbow effect. Lightly spritz with water and blot with a paper towel to add some texture.
Adhered all elements onto a stitched A2 Whisper White panel based on the sketch #336 from Freshly Made Sketches. Attached the panel to a white top folding card base and added clear shimmer to finish.
Hi there. Having more rainbow fun and dropping in quickly to share (surprise, surprise 😂) another rainbow CAS birthday card.
To start, stamped the bear and cake with Memento black ink on Neenah cardstock, coloured with Copics then fussy cut out. Created the plate by die cutting an Oval Shadow from a scrap of white cardstock and outlining the perimeter with a black marker.
Die cut ‘Celebrate’ three times from more white scraps and stacked them for dimension. White heat embossed the second part of the sentiment on a black strip.
Took a white A2 rectangle panel and coloured the bottom with the same markers used to colour the cake. Adhered the panel to a white top folding cardbase, then assembled the card. Added clear shimmer to finish.
Spring has just begun, so I hope you’re not sick of seeing rainbow cards from me. 😉 Thank you for visiting. Have a great day!
Hello there. I’m back to another rainbow birthday card and this was a really simple one.
On a scrap of Neenah cardstock, the image was stamped with black Memento ink, coloured with Copics in rainbow colours and die cut out with the coordinating die. My alignment was a little off, so I had to do a little fussy cutting to even out the white border.
The sentiment from the same set was white heat embossed on a black A2 stitched rectangle from my stash. The ray backgroundwas just stamped with white pigment ink. The panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and Crystal Glaze was added to finish.
Hello there. I’m back to share another birthday card for another niece who is turning 10 at the end of the month. I was going to make a shaker, but since I have to mail it, I decided to finally give a window panel card a try.
The otter, mermaid and rocks (from the same sets) were stamped with Memento black ink on scraps of Copic-friendly paper and coloured with Copics. The images from the otter set were die cut out with the matching dies, while the images from the mermaid set were fussy cut since I don’t have the matching dies.
The card base was prepared from Mix Media paper. 2” was cut from the bottom of the front, and cut in half into two 1” pieces. A piece of acetate was then attached to the base front to one of the 1” pieces, re-forming the front. Covered up all but the 1” window with Whisper White cardstock. The bottom 1” area was covered with a waves dry embossed piece from my stash. The sentiment was stamped on the acetate with black StazOn ink.
For the inside through the window opening, an area was masked then distress inks in rainbow colours were ink blended with a mini blending tool. Assembled the card and added clear glitter and white gel pen details to finish my first window panel card!
Hello there. It’s a lovely sunny day here today! Seems appropriate to share a rainbow birthday card I created for my niece who turned 6 this month. Love any excuse to make rainbow cards. 😉
On a Neenah stitched rectangle panel, the unicorn was stamped with black Memento ink and masked. Several wavy edge masks were die cut frommasking paper with a snow drift die. They were then used to mask off sections and distress inks in rainbow colours were blended with a mini blending tool.
Removed the unicorn mask and coloured with Copics. The sentiment was black heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.
The panel was mounted with foam adhesive to a white top folding card base. Clear shimmer was added to the rainbow and some sparkly clear sequins finished off the card.
Thank you for stopping by. Unicorn kisses and rainbow wishes… 😂 I know it’s cheesy, but it’s just that kinda day. 😆
