CAS Christmas March Reminder – Holly

Hi there.  I’m back to share my second Christmas card for the CAS Christmas March challenge Holly.  As I mentioned in my first post, I don’t have a dedicated holly stamp or die, but I do have products with holly in them.  The stamp I used for my card today is one of my favourites.  It is versatile and covers a lot of themes such as holly, poinsettias, wreath, critters, Santa hat, etc.  And it’s fun to colour. 😉

To begin, the image was stamped in the centre with black Memento ink on an A2 size stitched panel die cut from Neenah cardstock and coloured with Copics.  After I finished colouring, I accidentally smeared some ink on the panel.  Since I didn’t want to start over, I fussy cut it out and adhered it to a stitched Kraft A2 panel from my stash.

The sentiment (discontinued) was black heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.  The Kraft panel was adhered to a white top folding card base and clear shimmer was added to the poinsettias and bow to finish.

The challenge deadline is March 24, so there’s still plenty of time to play along.  For more inspirations from my team, click HERE.  I thank you for taking the time to stop by.  Can’t wait to see what you create.  Have a great day!

Take 2 Halloween Colour Christmas

Hi everyone.  I have a really easy CAS card to share.  It’s another non-traditional purple and green Christmas card.  I really like this colour combo for Christmas cards and thought those colours would look great on this cute NBUS Sending Joy stamp image.

NonTraditional Wreath Card

On a white A2 size ZIg Zag Stitched Rectangle panel, I stamped the image with black Memento ink and coloured it with Copics.

NonTraditional Wreath Card

I kept the mice white, but added some shading and outlined the entire image in light grey to give dimension.  For a little shimmer (because Christmas cards should be shiny and bright 😊), I added some clear Wink of Stella to the purple coloured areas.

NonTraditional Wreath Card

The sentiment was stamped with black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embosding powder.  To finish, I added the stitched panel to a white card base and added some white snowflake sequins that I had forgotten I had from last year.  And that is all for this card.
