Tickled Pink Birthday

Hi there.  I’m just dropping in quickly to share a CAS birthday card I created today.  I have several coming up. And with AAA Cards challenge #98 Creatures Great and Small, I took the opportunity to use a NBUS summer set I recently bought.  Trying to savour the last bit of summer. 😆

Here’s my card

I guess someone should have told this flamingo not to drink and rollerskate. 😂  The flamingo and sentiment were stamped with Memento black ink on a white stitched rectangle die cut from Neenah cardstock.

Masking, distress inks, a Radiating Rays stencil and a mini blending tool were used to create this mini boardwalk scene. i have a little confession.  Initially I created a sandy beach scene and then realized you can’t rollerskate on sand!  😂  Wasn’t even thinking.

The flamingo was coloured with Copics and a few motion lines were drawn in with a Copic multiliner.  The panel was mounted to a white top folding card base with foam tape.  Clear shimmer was added to the rays to finish.

As I mentioned, it’s a quick one. 😂  Thank you for visiting.  Have a great day.

  1. Love this card Trina! So colourful and cheery! And I think that this flamingo could definitely roller skate on sand! Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards!

  2. Rocking this layout Trina. And that’s exactly how a flamingo should be – pink, holding a cocktail and on roller skates – super fun. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

  3. love the sponged background with the stencil and the ground. I agree, sand and roller blades just wouldn’t work. Such a cute pink flamingo and awesome card 🙂
