Hi there. I can’t believe it’s Sunday, July 3rd, already. Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians and Happy Independence Day to our neighbors to the south. Now onto my card today. After donating my whole stash of kids cards to hospitals charity, I am now replenishing my kids cards. And no surprise, I am starting with a birthday card!
I wanted to make a fun and colorful birthday card. What’s more fun than these Waddles? I chose three Waddles I wanted to use and placed them all in my MISTI so I can stamp them all at once. I stamped them onto white cardstock with black Memento ink and colored them with Copics before fussy cutting them out.
I stamped the balloons onto a 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of white cardstock with black Memento ink and colored them with Copics. I didn’t bother with any shading. I masked off the balloons and blended in some Tumbled Glass ink for the background. I then die cut the sentiment from white cardstock so that I can also color them with the same Copic colors I used for the balloons.
I added a black strip on the side and a white glitter paper strip below birthday. Initially, I added some clear Wink of Stella on the balloons, but it didn’t look right, so I added Glossy Accents over top. It added great dimension, so I added Glossy Accents to the sentiment as well. Waddles were popped up with foan adhesive and enamel dots were added to finish. Pictures doesn’t do it justice. It looks better IRL.
