Hi there. I’m back with another guest design project for Your Next Stamp. Each month, YNS dares the DT and guests to create a project based on a theme using new released products. This month the theme is Shades of Spring. To view all the projects from the DT and guests, go to the YNS blog. Be sure to leave a comment there for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice. And now here’s my card.
So nothing says more spring to me than rainbows. 😉 To start, I die cut curvy masks from masking paper with the Double Stitched Hills die. I trimmed off the stitching marks because I didn’t want them to show from ink blending. On a white A2 panel, I stamped the butterflies and mini butterflies within the curved masked area and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
For the rainbow of colours, I die cut another curved mask, from acetate this time, and used it to blend different distress inks in sections. The bunny was stamped with black Memento ink on a scrap piece of X-press It paper, coloured with Copics and fussy cut out. I adhered the bunny on the cardstock, then coloured in the ground and shadow. Once again, I used a DIY cloud border stencil and Tumbled Glass distress ink to create the sky background.
Now don’t forget to head over to the YNS blog and leave a comment for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Thank you for stopping by.
