Hi there. This is my final guest design post for Your Next Stamp (YNS). It has been such an honour and I’ve had a blast the past three months. Thank you YNS! 💕 So for my final project, the design team and guests were dared to Get Inky. So much fun for any crafter! All the projects from the design team and guests are posted on the YNS Blog. Leave a comment on that post for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice.
For today’s card, I got inky and created a scene card. I was going to create a traditional autumn harvest looking scene with brown, red, orange, and yellow, but then went for something brighter. And of course I had to bring back all those cuties from the Autumn Animals stamp set to create this.
The background was created on a white diecut Stitched Rectangle. The ground and sky masks were handcut from Post It Labelling tape. The ground was masked first and Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick and Tumbled Glass distress inks were blended on with a mini blending tool for the sky. Then I went back over with a DIY cloud border stencil die cut from acetate to add the clouds. The ground mask was then removed and the sky area was masked next to create the ground with Mowed Lawn distress ink. Grass blades were added by flicking with a G17 Copic marker. And that completes the Get Inky dare.
The sentiment was white heat embossed on a black die cut banner. All the stamps in the Autumn Animals set were placed in the MISTI and stamped on X-press It paper with Memento back ink. They were coloured with Copics then fussy cut out. The stitched panel was mounted with foam adhesive on a white top folding card base before the scene was assembled.
And that does it for me. Don’t forget to head over to the YNS Blog to check out the rest of the Get Inky projects and leave a comment there for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Thank you for visiting. Have wonderful day!
