Sending Smiles

Hello there!  I’ve been struggling with the heat lately, so I wasn’t sure if I was going to get my card done, but I did!  It was created from all NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff)!

The locket / key were die cut four times from scraps of silver foil paper, then stacked.  The envelope was die cut from a scrap of regular white cardstock.  The postage panel was die cut from a scrap of watercolor paper.

Used the splash watercolouring technique and Distress Oxide inks (Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch) to give it colour and texture.  Black heat embossed the sentiment with Versafine black ink and clear embossing powder.  Really love this smart sentiment!

Popped the postage panel up with foam tape onto a white top folding card base, then added the envelope/locket/key to finish.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!
