Good morning and Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there. I had another Mother’s Day card I’m working on, but it’s not done. Instead I have another punch art birthday card to share.
It was a friend’s birthday yesterday and I couldn’t post until after I gave her the card last night. She loves the critters punch art cards and was the one who requested a set previously this year (see my very first post HERE). I did a skunk for her as well in that set, but I forgot to take a picture of it. Well, I figured it is a good time to make another one that is new to her and brush up on my punch art skills in preparation for my upcoming punch art class next weekend. 😛
Besides the arms, the skunk was created with SU! punches with some retired. Punches used were:
Head – Ornament, Blossom Petals
Ears – Blossom PetalS
Eyes – 1/4″ Circle, Cupcake Builder
Nose – Owl Builder, 1/4″ Circle
Body – Extra Large Oval, Large Oval
Tail – Extra Large Oval
Feet – small heart
The balloons were die cut from white cardstock and then colored with sponge daubers and distress inks.I drew the strings with a Copic Multiliner pen. The middle red balloon was popped up on foam tape. I stamped the Birthday Wishes in black and added a few white sequins to finish.
